Martin Necas
Martin Necas is a specialist general and vascular sonographer and an associate clinical director of ultrasound at Waikato Hospital, in Hamilton. Martin is an ultrasound enthusiast, clinical instructor, university lecturer, researcher, and an author or co-author of 25 peer reviewed scientific papers and clinical guidelines as well as a textbook on artifacts in diagnostic ultrasound. Martin is a prolific conference speaker, having contributed over 250 presentations, workshops, and webinars. Martin’s main areas of interest include general, vascular, neonatal and contrast-enhanced ultrasound. Martin is a strong advocate for efficient, evidence-based and clinically targeted utilisation of ultrasound imaging.
Deb Tansley
Talk title : Reporting – the Northland Experience
Deb is the Charge Sonographer at Whangarei Hospital (Northland DHB). Deb started Ultrasound as a “second” career in the UK with a 1st class Honours degree and PGDip in Ultrasound. She trained and worked in the NHS as a reporting sonographer until emigrating to Whangarei in 2005 – in part attracted by the sonographer reporting done under Northland DHB. Deb has been involved in developing Ultrasound services in Northland , including Sonographer – led mobile services to try and address poor and inequitable access to Ultrasound services in Northland.
