Dr Jennifer Alphonse FASA- Central Queensland University (CQU)
Dr. Jennifer Alphonse completed a PhD in 2015 and is a generally trained sonographer with a passion for education, research and evidence based and advanced clinical practice. Jennifer worked for five years in general practice, seven years in a dedicated paediatric practice before moving to Sydney Ultrasound for Women, where for more than 19 years Jennifer has held a position at as a senior sonographer and is experienced in tertiary level O&G. From 2013 to 2019 Jennifer held a research sonographer position, following onto an adjunct lecturer appointment at University of NSW until 2022. Jennifer co-supervised a PhD candidate to completion and is currently co-supervising both Masters and PhD Candidates enrolled at CQ University. Jennifer is a senior lecturer at CQU and a reviewer of O&G manuscripts for local and international journals. Jennifer is well published in her own right and currently working on research publications with her co-authors from both CQU and UNSW. Jennifer enjoys teaching and sharing knowledge, and although the focus of her PhD was in first trimester screening, Jennifer has a particular interest in gynaecological ultrasound and has been heard to say “I love an empty uterus” in reference to her enthusiasm for high level gynaecological/pelvic ultrasound.
Debra Paoletti -Fetal Medicine Unit Centenary Hospital for Women & Children
Deb has worked in high risk obstetrics since 2007 and is currently in enrolled a PhD at the ANU School of Medicine. She has contributed to ultrasound education as an ACT ASA committee member from 2007 – 2015, and through various roles with ASUM. She is also involved in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound teaching for radiology registrars, obstetric registrars, and midwives. Deb was awarded ACT sonographer of the year at the ASA Awards of Excellence 2013 and ASUM Australasian sonographer of the year in 2014.

Dr Meiri Robertson- Canberra Fetal Assessment Centre
Dr Meiri Robertson MBChB; BSc (MedSc Hons); DipFM (Fetal Medicine Foundation, London) is an experienced sonologist in women’s imaging. She started her career in Women’s Health and Imaging 20 years ago in Cape Town where she obtained her undergraduate medical qualification and later a post-graduate clinical genetics degree. Meiri also completed the Fetal Medicine Foundation’s diploma in Fetal Medicine to complement her practice in the field. She has completed a Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the Canberra Hospital in 2003 and has called Australia home since then. Meiri is now the director at the Fetal Medicine Unit at the Centenary Hospital for Women & Children where she has close involvement with managing high risk pregnancies. She is a lecturer at the Australia National University and regularly contributes to educational activities via scientific publications and invites lectures. Meiri was acknowledged for her contributions to the Australian Society of Ultrasound In Medicine in 2013 when she was named Volunteer of the year and in 2014 as the Sonologist of the Year. In her free time she enjoys walking in Bush Capital.
