Workforce deployment | Expressions of interest
Page updated 24 August 2020
The Victorian government has reactivated its call for health workforce Expressions of Interest as there is an ongoing need for an outbreak response workforce that has the capacity to be deployed across the Victorian health system. The Department of Health and Human Services has also flagged that members of the Victorian health workforce who have already registered may be called upon in the coming weeks and months to support the Victorian health system to respond to potential outbreaks.
Many members have been impacted with reduced hours as demand for non-essential scans is impacted due to social isolation requirements. Health departments across Australia are responding on a state basis with further restrictions in some jurisdictions, whilst other jurisdictions are easing restrictions.
Both the Australian and New Zealand governments have Financial Support packages for those not working.
