This June, the ASA is proud to collaborate with BMUS, SDMS and Sonography Canada to highlight the important role of vascular ultrasound in modern healthcare. As a highly specialised imaging modality, vascular ultrasound provides real time assessment of the body’s arterial and venous systems, supporting the diagnosis, monitoring and management of a wide range of vascular conditions.

Vascular sonographers combine advanced technical expertise with a strong understanding of anatomy, haemodynamics and pathology. Their ability to perform detailed Doppler assessments, interpret complex flow patterns and adapt examinations to challenging clinical presentations is essential in delivering accurate, patient centred care.
