Your impact, with us As our highly valued Lead Specialist Cardiac Physiologist, Echo Training, you’ll use your specialist cardiology skills and expertise to provide quality care to patients with a wide range of heart and cardiovascular conditions.

Based in our Adelaide clinics, you’ll be the driving force of echocardiography training, helping to improve people’s health and lives and shaping our organisation’s future.

You’ll make a meaningful impact by:

  • Taking the lead of our echo training program and help develop, guide and nurture the skills of our aspiring trainee cardiac sonographers..
  • Implementing Advara Heart Cares national echo training framework in partnership with the national training coordinator at a state-based level and have your own input into the program
  • Developing a quality assurance program to help maintain echo standards to enable best outcomes for our patients
  • In conjunction with the lead specialist cardiac physiologists manage monthly echo meetings and assist in providing in house education for the team
  • Providing echocardiography services include both outpatient & inpatient transthoracic echocardiography including congenital studies, exercise stress echocardiography, dobutamine stress echocardiography, assisting with transoesophageal echocardiography studies and structural procedures (TAVI, Mitral clips, PFO/ASD Closures & LAA appendage closures)

What you’ll bring  to succeed in this role, you will have:

  • You have a post graduate qualification in the field of cardiac ultrasound with at least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
  • A current registration with Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
  • You have experience in training others and an understanding of post graduate echocardiography courses.
  • You possess sound clinical skills in the field of echocardiography
  • Excellent interpersonal & patient care skills with the ability to show a friendly and professional approach
  • You are committed to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of developments in cardiac ultrasound techniques.
  • Proven experience in working effectively in a team environment with the ability to adapt to change.
  • Current Australian Driver’s License and ability to work across several locations across Adelaide and regional clinics on a rotating roster.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a commitment to improving Australia’s heart health.
